How can Living Lab approach support Agroecological Transition? Insights on the Socio-Economic Aspects from a Literature Review

This study aims to gain empirical insights on socio-economic issues related to the design and implementation of ALLs. This framework will address the role of ALLs in driving systemic transformations of agri-food systems towards increased sustainability by examining how the Living Lab approach can be implemented to advance agroecological transition. The primary focus will be on the socio-economic dimensions, ranging from the socio-economic barriers and drivers to ALLs implementations, to the socio-economic issues addressed by ALLs (such as business models and value chain rethinking), to the mechanisms through which these platforms can promote equitable decision-making, enhance livelihood resilience, and harmonize environmental sustainability with socio-economic well-being. The main research question addressed is the following: how can the agroecology living lab approach be implemented to advance agroecological transition, considering the empirical perspectives, while addressing socio-economic dimensions?
