In this paper we present some results emerging during a larger project, still in progress, about the phenomenon of early school leaving and how to face it through an in-service training project for mathematics and other discipline teachers. The aim of this study is to investigate how a co- disciplinary educational path, co-designed and co-led by both mathematics teacher and vocational subject teacher, could bring out the existing link between vocational subject and Mathematics, with the involvement of the students most at risk of early school leaving. For this aim we developed Collaborative Settings in Mathematics Teacher Education (CSMTE) together with other subjects' teachers, in which teachers are involved. In this paper preliminary results are given.
