Iron-catalyzed Kumada cross-coupling reactions represent one of the most powerful methodologies for C–C bond formation involving alkyl and aryl halides and Grignard reagents. However, these transformations are traditionally performed in anhydrous ethereal solvents under strictly inert conditions and often require coordinating additives, such as TMEDA, to achieve efficient catalytic activity.¹ Building on our previous studies on Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions of organolithium, Grignard, and organozinc reagents in environmentally benign media such as Deep Eutectic Solvents (DESs),²˒³ we investigated the reactivity of organomagnesium reagents in DESs under iron catalysis. Our goal was to develop a sustainable and operationally simple protocol for Kumada-type cross-coupling reactions under mild and aerobic conditions.

Abstract
Our goal was to develop a sustainable and operationally simple protocol for Kumada-type cross-coupling reactions under mild and aerobic conditions.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
