Hybrid Business Model. Can Business Networking Help the Development of Benefit Goals in Tourism?

Sustainability has become a more and more popular issue also among companies, to which society asks for a more respectful approach towards people and environment. To this end, recently, an innovative and hybrid business model has been introduced : the Benefit Society, which recognizes in its statute the objective of pursuing well-being for the whole society, for people and the environment. In particular, this chapter is aimed at analyzing the application of this model to the touristic sector, by highlighting the practices the entrepreneurs can implement to balance profit and social needs, in particular through digitalization, which can play a relevant role for developing the so-called green tourism. Specifically, the authors want to show how digitalization can help these kinds of companies to achieve their sustainability and ethical purposes.
