Herein we present Math&Co., a web-based system implementing cooperative type strategies in a suitable environment for learning math, togheter with the results of studies conducted using Math&Co. which aimed in particular to investigate students’ metacognitive processes in mathematical problem solving supported by networked technology. By stimulating students’ mental processes, our system enables them to develop higher level math skills and acquire better problem solving abilities.
