Abstract
In Iambic Poetry and Old Comedy, closely related genres, there are toponyms with a plain sexual meaning. In tis paper, I consider nine examples from Aristophanes' Lysistrata in which this poetical element is well attested, and suggest a new interpretation, with a sexual meaning, of the mention of the city of Pellene at 996.File in questo prodotto:
