AI is spreading in many fields influencing the way humans carry out activities. In this scenario, humans and AI collaborate fostering a bidirectional relationship where both parties are improved learning form each other. Thus, there is the need to create HCAI systems that consider humans not as mere users but in all of their dimensions to safeguard their fundamental rights while considering their needs, preferences and characteristics. SAI, which is a specialization of HCAI, refers to the creation of AI systems that empower and support humans rather than replacing them. Nevertheless, due to the influence of AI in contexts that can impact human lives and the environment surrounding them, it is important to create systems compliant with law (i.e., the European AI Act). This work, presents a set of guidelines that can guide practitioners to create high-quality and AI Act compliant SAI systems.
