The paper enriches the current knowledge of Roman painting in Canosa with new acquisitions from three domus of the imperial period: that of Montescupolo and the houses found under the baptistery of San Giovanni and the cathedral of San Sabino. The research enables the reconstruction of decorative programs, repertoires, and technical knowledge in producing in producing walls and ceilings decorated with geometric, figured, and vegetal motifs. These decorations were found in situ and in collapse layers and are datable between the 1st and 2nd centuries CE.
