This paper investigates the agricultural phase of durum wheat and legumes for highlighting the better environmental performance of conventional and organic systems for both crops. The comparison was based on LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) approach. Particularly, a review has been elaborated, screening 9 recently papers based on the application of LCA considering the timeline 2020-2023. The results can be useful for providing a resilient approach for practitioners, academics, and all stakeholders in agrifood system.
