Is it possible to reflect today on some foundational questions of the human and its constitutive nature of “Being-with”, starting from a possible comparison between intentionality and ontology? How does critical-philosophical thought stand today in relation to the new ontological determinations dictated by the era of simulation? Are we perhaps facing a real Copernican revolution in the field of methodologies for approaching scientific knowledge which, in turn, impose a re-signification of the idea of man, world and existence? I try to explore this path of reflection through the contribution of two Authors – Brentano and Horkheimer – who, despite their temporal and reflective distance, make it possible to create the premises for going beyond the critical issues outlined above through an attempt to compare intentionality and ontology.

Abstract
Is it possible to reflect today on some foundational questions of the human and its constitutive nature of “Being-with”, starting from a possible comparison between intentionality and ontology? How does critical-philosophical thought stand today in relation to the new ontological determinations dictated by the era of simulation? Are we perhaps facing a real Copernican revolution in the field of methodologies for approaching scientific knowledge which, in turn, impose a re-signification of the idea of man, world and existence? I try to explore this path of reflection through the contribution of two Authors – Brentano and Horkheimer – who, despite their temporal and reflective distance, make it possible to create the premises for going beyond the critical issues outlined above through an attempt to compare intentionality and ontology.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
