Il processo metaforico della narrazione. Una breve analisi di espressioni metaforiche tratte dal giallo di Camilleri La forma dell’acqua e dalla narrazione della pandemia di Covid 19

This paper aims at arguing that the metaphorical link between fiction and truth with differences in intersecting them gives shape to both literary narration and everyday narration. According to what Eco claims about the centrality in the daily narration of the principle of trust that is effective in literature, this contribution assumes the relevance of the metaphorical process both in the complex and articulated narration of real everyday events and in the literary texts. For supporting the argument, some linguistic examples have been taken from Camilleri’s literary work La forma dell’acqua and from the daily narration of the Covid 19 pandemic in terms of a war. These examples will be analysed to achieve the paper’s purposes.
