This crisis has affected teaching and learning practices and scientific activities in all fields, including in mathematics education. CERME12, in 2022, took place a year later than scheduled as a virtual conference and in difficult conditions, and it was made possible only by the dedicated engagement of the International Programme Committee, the Local Organising Committee and the Thematic Working Groups’ leaders.
