Public procurement is a powerful tool for investing public funds and is a strategic resource for economic development. It is therefore essential to encourage the improvement of the operations of the contracting authorities and to develop evaluation models that can facilitate the analysis and monitoring processes in the various stages of execution of a public procurement. In this contribution, we present our research aimed at creating a system to support decisions and monitoring activities of the entire investment and procurement cycle. This system involves the use of Artificial Intelligence techniques based on natural language processing and machine learning, as well as data analysis and visualizations, aimed at providing tools that allow for extrapolating useful information starting from structured and unstructured data structures.
