Abstract
Propertius often depicts war scenarios in which we find characters who, by statute, are antithetical to the elegiac poet; in 3,12 and 4,3, in particular, the selection of some passages, which highlight the female points of view and perspectives, allows us imagining the condition of painful fixity of relictae women; no less significant scenarios are outlined in the elegy 4,4 in which Tarpea, wishful to become a wife, will instead be doomed to final and bloody abandonment due to a tragic circumstance.File in questo prodotto:
