Abstract
The essay reconstructs the meaning of the expression ‘Community-based participatory research’, its original sources (action-research and pedagogy of the oppressed), its methodology and its developments in the USA of the 90s, starting from medical research to current status quaestionis. More theoretical questions remain in the background: whether it is possible to think and do research in ‘community’ and in a participatory way; and, if so, how; and, if not, what is likely to be the 'fate' of 'solitary' academic research.File in questo prodotto:
