Retrieval of resources semantically annotated is a problem that is gaining interest as more and more documents and services expose descriptions based on languages developed in the framework of SemanticWeb. In a semanticenabled resource retrieval process, given a request, a ranking of compatible resources should be provided. Obviously having semantically annotated resources, the ranking should be based on some semantic-based parameters. Furthermore, the availability of such descriptions makes explanation of rank possible and can provide useful information in order to modify or refine the original request in a principled way. In this work we briefly present results obtained and ongoing activity on these challenging topics.

Abstract
Retrieval of resources semantically annotated is a problem that is gaining interest as more and more documents and services expose descriptions based on languages developed in the framework of SemanticWeb. In a semanticenabled resource retrieval process, given a request, a ranking of compatible resources should be provided. Obviously having semantically annotated resources, the ranking should be based on some semantic-based parameters. Furthermore, the availability of such descriptions makes explanation of rank possible and can provide useful information in order to modify or refine the original request in a principled way. In this work we briefly present results obtained and ongoing activity on these challenging topics.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
