The volume includes six studies about the writing of Giorgio Bassani, designed with different destinations, but united by the interest for some expressive solutions of this writer, who seems to refer to the transparency and clarity of the crystal. With constant attention to the internal organization of the "Romanzo di Ferrar and to autorial changes, Dell’Aquila analyzes the effects of writing films scripts on fiction writing, the interference between literary writing and art critic, the organization and the name of domestic spaces in some famous stories, the different functions of parenthetical text (very common in poetic and narrative speech of Bassani), the 'nominations' of certain characters of “Romanzo di Ferrara”, and, finally, the correlation between clothes, characters and story lines.
