This paper intends to offer an analysis how the use of innovative legal and economic institutes and of the management and marketing tools, also in agri-food sector, is vital to ensure a "cleaner" agriculture. A correct and synergic application of these institutes and tools would tend to reverberate throughout the territory, both for creating territorial sustainable supply chains, able to market increasingly organic food products, eco-sustainable and safe for the health of living beings, and for the territorial and tourist development of entire areas. Relevant will be the analysis of the "FiLO - Logistics and Organization Supply Chain" project which, with a European innovation partnership, has aimed to create a company’s network in Umbria Region, in collaboration with the University. The aim is to provide companies in the agri-food sector and the supply chain a high level of technological, methodological and organizational innovation, through the implementation of replicable models. Specifically, this paper wants to highlight relevance of these best practices and to propose innovative proposals for the "Taranto Area Vesta" focusing on two existing projects to date but not yet realized, such as the Agromed and Distripark Taranto project. Moreover, improving agri-food logistics also means having fewer vehicles that travel by road tire, thus reducing pollutant emissions into the atmosphere. Therefore, starting from the development of a sustainable agri-food logistics chain and integrating territorial marketing policies, the territories (here Taranto) are equipped with useful tools to rethink and implement an effective territorial and tourism development model, two sectors covered by three pillars of sustainability, environmental, economic and social.
