Paul Ricoeur e la musica come caso-limite nella sinfonia delle arti

Partendo da quanto Ricœur scrive nel testo/intervista Le arti, il linguaggio e l’estetica-ermeneutica, ovvero dall’idea che la musica sia un caso-limite tra le arti, questo saggio prova a ripensare l’idea di una ‘sinfonia’ in cui i diversi linguaggi sono posti in crescendo e decrescendo, a seconda della loro capacità rappresentativa e/o iconica. All’interno di questa cornice, resta poi da capire qual è il dono specifico che la musica, dando a pensare, può fare alla filosofia, al linguaggio corrente e all’esistenza.

Starting from Arts, Language and Hermeneutic Aesthetics. Interview with Paul Ricoeur. Conducted by JeanMarie Brohm and Magali Uhl, and from the Ricoeurian idea that music is a limit-case between arts, this essay tries to rethink the idea of the „symphony‟ of the arts: a symphony in which different languages are placed in crescendo and decrescendo, according to their representative and/or iconic capacity. Within this frame, then it remains to understand why music «donne à penser», and consequently what is the specific „gift‟ that music can give to philosophy, to current language and to our existence
