E-Learning Advancements at the University of Bari

This paper presents the activities carried on at the University of Bari to foster e-learning and web based training. The Rete Puglia Centre has the aim of wide spreading technology enhanced learning in the entire university. Three main projects allowed to start-up the e-learning infrastructure and to solicitate teachers to be involved in e-learning activities. The adopted strategy can be considered a good examples to follow to build a university route towards the knowledge based society. A recently specifically built university e-learning committee has prepared and distributed to the entire teaching corpus an ad-hoc electronic survey investigating their e-learning expectations. The obtained results confirm increasing involvement and reveal aspect not yet satisfied.
