Up-to-date techniques of neutron-optical imaging and sensing are dis- cussed from the theoretical and experimental point of view, with emphasis on the statistically correct data handling. Besides treating standard methods of practical interest, such as transmission tomog- raphy, phase measurements, and phase contrast tomography, we also focus on fundamental phenomena such as neutron wave-particle du- ality, quantum interference, quantum Zeno effect, and quantum state measurement. In the future, these intrinsically quantum effects may yield further improvements over the classical imaging methods.
