The reaction of monodentate phosphine-Rh(I) complexes with carbon dioxide is described and the formation of carbon dioxide-,peroxocarbonate- and carbonate-complexes is reported. The light promoted reaction of cyclopropane with CO2 in the presence of Rh(I)-complexes is reported and factors influencing this reaction are discussed.
