Aim of this study was to measure the modifications of total lean mass, sex age and body mass index (BMI) related in enderly patients. Distric lean mass was estimated in superior limbs, inferior limbs, truncus; percentual distribution of lean mass between inferior limbs and truncus was calculated. Ageing acts on body composition as a factor unbalancing force ratios between limbs and truncus, penalizing muscular representativeness of inferior limbs and favoring, on the contrary, an axial cargo pregressively more honerous. This offers a possible bio-mechanical interpretation of motor frailty in acute pathologies of aging.

Abstract
Aim of this study was to measure the modifications of total lean mass, sex age and body mass index (BMI) related in enderly patients. Distric lean mass was estimated in superior limbs, inferior limbs, truncus; percentual distribution of lean mass between inferior limbs and truncus was calculated. Ageing acts on body composition as a factor unbalancing force ratios between limbs and truncus, penalizing muscular representativeness of inferior limbs and favoring, on the contrary, an axial cargo pregressively more honerous. This offers a possible bio-mechanical interpretation of motor frailty in acute pathologies of aging.File in questo prodotto:
