This study focuses on literary translation as a topic in current French prose, to try behind the translation, the search for an artistic text, along with the need for the translator, to be recognized as the creator, artist, full. Between randomness and programming, the novels "Le traducteur" and "Les Nègres du traducteur" two cases as examples of the need for an identity and the search for legitimacy and autonomy of the translated text.
