The environmental problems with which production is faced nowadays can be confronted in a proactive manner and be transformed into market opportunities. The problems connected with climate change have demonstrated that the food industry can also be reorganised with attention to sustainability, taking advantage of the fundamental role that tourism may play in the development of local produce and traditions. The aim of this paper is to highlight the role that sustainable tourism can have in the growth and promotion of the local agricultural sector.
