The article underlines how the possibility for creativity to regain a central position in educational theory is bound to the rejection of every bendings of the term towards new ideological strumentalizations concerned about an economical recovery and, above all, is bound to the assumption of the term within longlife education as a competence of the personal being aiming at his self-fulfilment. Education to creativity, meant as education to freedom, supported by a sense of responsibility soaked thought, should work for a revisitation of the present forms of democracy, whereas today freedom is often carried out as a process of disanchoration from the rules peculiar to society.
