After placing the theme of the game in twentieth century' sciences and philosophies, the essay focuses particularly on L.Wittgenstein, E.Fink and H.G.Gadamer, arriving to state the game as a symbol of philosophy, or philosopher as a player who creates the rules of his game (of his own thought) and, thanks to them, helps us to understand more differently the world and to live in. The game, then, even in the case of philosophy, only works if you put it not as absolute but as a dialogue: with other philosophies and other games.

Abstract

After placing the theme of the game in twentieth century' sciences and philosophies, the essay focuses particularly on L.Wittgenstein, E.Fink and H.G.Gadamer, arriving to state the game as a symbol of philosophy, or philosopher as a player who creates the rules of his game (of his own thought) and, thanks to them, helps us to understand more differently the world and to live in. The game, then, even in the case of philosophy, only works if you put it not as absolute but as a dialogue: with other philosophies and other games.
