Full survey of all the known Latin metric inscriptions dated before Augustan age (some of them not previously axknowledged as metric; other vice versa to be regarded as not metric), gathered according to their metre (with a particular discussion on the feature and use of the so-called Saturnius numerus). Ages places length, textual pattern and structure are also taken into careful consideration, and especially their lay-out and technical procedure of versification. In a last section before final comment there are collected and inspected those texts, that show either unusual metric features, or a rather rhetorical than metrci pattern of composition.
