Tourist development and territorial competitiveness: Integrated Projects Sector in Puglia Puglia, although a region with an extraordinary historical and artistic heritage and landscape, still appears to be characterized by a predominantly domestic and proximity tourism, and especially strongly linked to the 'sea product'. The awareness that an important opportunity for this region is represented by the change in consumption patterns increasingly oriented toward cultural items, prompted us to investigate the role played by policies for the management and development of the tourism sector and the importance of using an instrument which was made by the Community Support Framework 2000-2006 ie Integrated Projects Sector (PIS) which represent the predominant mode of intervention in the policies for the use and enjoyment of cultural tourism identified by the Region within the Operational Programme 2000-2006. In the work the attention is focused on reading and comparison of documents related to the five regional PIS approved, with the aim of trying to figure out if they truly represent useful tools to transform the cultural heritage in one of the qualifying components of the policy territorial competitiveness.

Abstract
In the work the attention is focused on reading and comparison of documents related to the five regional PIS approved, with the aim of trying to figure out if they truly represent useful tools to transform the cultural heritage in one of the qualifying components of the policy territorial competitiveness.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
