The "choose your own adventure" stories in the teaching of Italian L2 transform the learner into the protagonist of the story, developing linguistic and communicative skills useful in everyday contexts by recognising cultural differences and defusing linguistic and/or cultural misunderstndings. Through these stories at each crossroads the learner is confronted with a problem, whic he/she will have to solve with the skills acquired according to the level and domains of reference of the CEFR.
