This article presents a new edition of a fragmentary Greek inscription discovered at Ayvān-e Karḵa, probably originating from Hellenistic Susa and preserving part of an honorary civic decree. Based on high-resolution photographs, the new reading improves previous editions and proposes revised restorations of several key passages. Paleographic evidence suggests a date between the late third and early second century BC. The inscription sheds new light on the civic institutions of Hellenistic Susa through its references to politai and peliganes, providing valuable evidence for the persistence of Macedonian political traditions in the Seleucid East. The article also discusses the historical context of the decree, exploring whether it honored a prominent citizen or a Seleucid ruler in connection with military events in southwestern Iran. The document offers important insights into the civic organization and political culture of Hellenistic Susa.
