In our research on the crystal structures of many sulphur compounds (sulfides or enantiopure and racemic sulfoxides), we report now the first example of a crystal structure of an heterocyclic aryl benzyl sulfone from our chemical library. The presence of the sulfonyl and the pyridyl moieties organises a peculiar network of weak hydrogen bonds, that is unprecedented in the crystallographic database.
