Contemporary society is characterised by the coexistence of different cultures and religions. This phenomenon, known as multiculturalism, entails the presence of groups with different origins, traditions and cultural practices within the same social context, thus posing increasingly complex issues that public decision -makers must address in relation to the management of public services (health care, social welfare, public safety, education, housing, etc.). In this regard, a valuable tool that public organisations can use to govern multiculturalism is public -private partnerships (PPPs). Indeed, they enable the active involvement of communities and private sector organisations, bringing new resources, competences and points of view in the management of cultural diversity, thus leading to more effective and inclusive solutions and contributing to social cohesion and the valorisation of multiculturalism. Based on this assumption, the aim of this chapter is to explore some of the management theories in which PPPs can be conceptually placed, in order to ultimately provide some useful insights for public management regarding the application of this management model in the governance of cultural diversity.

Abstract
Based on this assumption, the aim of this chapter is to explore some of the management theories in which PPPs can be conceptually placed, in order to ultimately provide some useful insights for public management regarding the application of this management model in the governance of cultural diversity.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
