Abstract
During the second excavation campaign in the Constantinian episcopal church of Ostia, fragments of two Christian funerary inscriptions were found for the first time. They were found without context in the humus in the area of the basilica and probably originally came from the nearby necropolises. They are of interest because of the formula ‘hic dormit’, which was widespread from the 3rd and the beginning of the 4th century AD.File in questo prodotto:
