The “Genoa and the Genoese in Palermo 1978-2025” VR exhibition, on ArtSteps, is the virtual connection to the “Genoa and the Genoese in Palermo” physical exhibition at the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa, in 1978-79. The VR exhibition is a useful tool to better explain and further clarify the framework of artistic relations in Palermo, on the Palermo-Genoa axis, making the scientific research, on which stands the virtual exhibition itself, more visual and interactive. In the reconstruction of the 1978-79 exhibition in Genoa, the first question was to understand where the artworks and didactic panels had been located at the time, attempting to reconstruct the exhibition layout based on comparisons and cross-references between period photographs and the currently visible interior architecture. Following this research question, an interactive 3D model (free-roaming and hotspot-based) has been created, using photogrammetric techniques, to digitally rebuild the original exhibition in its original settings, complementary, in this way, to the virtual project on ArtSteps.

Abstract
Following this research question, an interactive 3D model (free-roaming and hotspot-based) has been created, using photogrammetric techniques, to digitally rebuild the original exhibition in its original settings, complementary, in this way, to the virtual project on ArtSteps.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
