Antifascismo e marxismo in una donna cattolica negli anni della guerra. Marisa Cinciari Rodano (1939-1945)

Little has been written so far on the political personality of Maria Lisa Cinciari Rodano, either from a purely historiographical perspective or from a more broadly political perspective. Marisa, together with the courageous women who practiced the Resistance and later founded the Union of Italian Women, is to be considered an important exponent of that phase of thought and praxis that was able to tie up the threads of women’s political action that had already been cut before the Second World War. This article sheds light on the first phase of Cinciari Rodano’s youthful education, especially before and during the partisan struggle, through the reflections later reported in her Diari Minimi. What emerges is an unpublished fresco of an Italian intellectual who represented an important piece of national history with her activity.
