An aspect of great interest in the history of the tradition of Latin texts is the transmission of Graeca, that, often, in the Latin manuscripts, are missing or corrupted, because of ignorance of the language of Homer by medieval copyists. For a work as Aulus Gellius’ Noctes Atticae, macroscopic case of indirect tradition, the study of the transmission of Graeca may be particularly successful: here, we propose some considerations.
