This contribution presents the critical edition of the sermon on St. Clare of Assisi: Alia est claritas solis (1Cor 15, 41) by the Franciscan François de Meyronnes († 1327 ca). The first part of the article introduces the structure of the sermon and its contents, which are developed around light and eight of its properties. A marked similarity is pointed out between this sermon and the same writer’s sermon dedicated to St. Louis of Toulouse: Luce splendida fulgebis (Tb 13, 13), a similarity demonstrated by a comparative table of the two texts. The second part presents the edition of the sermon, fruit of work on five manuscript codes and on two sixteenth century print collections.
