Marisa Rodano was one of the undisputed protagonists of the Italian left and of the post-World War II political scene in general. President of the UDI since 1956, the following contribution immortalizes the communist Catholic intellectual in a speech to the Parliament in 1958, through which central topics in the political discussion of the following decades are anticipated, and one can glimpse not only the political and philosophical sophistication of the Roman thinker, but also the incredible topicality of the topics discussed, both from a doctrinal point of view and the active militancy of one of the greatest representatives of the Women’s Movement in Italy.
