Two philological questions on the 6th book of the Laws. Nomophylakes and agronomoi: Platon and the number of magistrates · The philological question relating to Plato’s Laws still appears controversial in many of its passages, even if there have been a series of authoritative studies dating back to the last century relating to its complete understanding. In the work, there are several places in which clear interpolations are evident compared with the original edition, which have often led scholars to believe that it was an unfinished dialogue. In this short essay, the textual criticism of two passages in particular still essential to the understanding of the entire institutional structure is resumed : those concerning the nomophylakes (Leg., vi, 754d-e ; 764c-e) and the agronomoi (760b ; 762d-e).

Abstract
Two philological questions on the 6th book of the Laws. Nomophylakes and agronomoi: Platon and the number of magistrates · The philological question relating to Plato’s Laws still appears controversial in many of its passages, even if there have been a series of authoritative studies dating back to the last century relating to its complete understanding. In the work, there are several places in which clear interpolations are evident compared with the original edition, which have often led scholars to believe that it was an unfinished dialogue. In this short essay, the textual criticism of two passages in particular still essential to the understanding of the entire institutional structure is resumed : those concerning the nomophylakes (Leg., vi, 754d-e ; 764c-e) and the agronomoi (760b ; 762d-e).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
