Abstract
The article analyses Twin Transitions, i.e., the synergistic integration between digital and ecological transition, as a central and irreversible challenge that is profoundly reconfiguring European markets. This double transition constitutes the strategic key for the relaunch of productivity and the strengthening of the Union’s sustainable competitiveness. In this framework, the internal market plays a central role as the primary recipient for the uptake of new technologies and sustainable goods developed by European companies. However, transitions are associated with elevated investment costs, potential asymmetries between economic and regional actors, and the need to balance innovation with safety and consumer protection. In this framework, both National and Union law are therefore called upon not merely to regulate, but also to actively steer and accompany structural change. This procedure appears therefore essential talign green digital ambition with social cohesion, territorial convergence and well-being of future generations while fostering the development of competitive marketsI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
