The history of Hellenistic Bactria and Northwest India is a numismatic history on the grounds that historical sources are few and fragmentary, while die studies provide us with a chronological framework for the rulers who exerted their power in those areas. Even though this statement remains generally valid, in the last decades archaeological as well as documentary material have further contributed to and revised our knowledge of the chronology of the Graeco-Bactrian and Indo-Greek rulers that was elaborated by the die study of their coinage. However, these data are hitherto dispersed in a plethora of publications. This brief contribution therefore aims to review and discuss the available evidence in order to propose a few adjustments to the chronology of a set of Graeco-Bactrian and Indo-Greek kings of the first half of the 2nd century BC.

Abstract
The history of Hellenistic Bactria and Northwest India is a numismatic history on the grounds that historical sources are few and fragmentary, while die studies provide us with a chronological framework for the rulers who exerted their power in those areas. Even though this statement remains generally valid, in the last decades archaeological as well as documentary material have further contributed to and revised our knowledge of the chronology of the Graeco-Bactrian and Indo-Greek rulers that was elaborated by the die study of their coinage. However, these data are hitherto dispersed in a plethora of publications. This brief contribution therefore aims to review and discuss the available evidence in order to propose a few adjustments to the chronology of a set of Graeco-Bactrian and Indo-Greek kings of the first half of the 2nd century BC.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
