This book brings together insights and perspectives from 26 authors on whether and how unconventional housing solutions – understood as bottom-up practices, public policies, and architectural projects – can contribute to rendering housing more affordable in European cities, where rising prices have increasingly challenged access to decent living conditions in recent years. It is part of the UAH! Unconventional Affordable Housing research framework and results from an internal call for papers launched within this context, aimed at collecting interdisciplinary contributions that reflect the variety of outcomes of the project. The call was furthermore addressing researchers working on similar topics and questions, encouraging a broader exchange around the themes explored by UAH!.

Abstract
This book brings together insights and perspectives from 26 authors on whether and how unconventional housing solutions – understood as bottom-up practices, public policies, and architectural projects – can contribute to rendering housing more affordable in European cities, where rising prices have increasingly challenged access to decent living conditions in recent years. It is part of the UAH! Unconventional Affordable Housing research framework and results from an internal call for papers launched within this context, aimed at collecting interdisciplinary contributions that reflect the variety of outcomes of the project. The call was furthermore addressing researchers working on similar topics and questions, encouraging a broader exchange around the themes explored by UAH!.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
