Processo ai padri: ripensare "Re Lear" con She She Pop

Starting from the show "Testament" (2010) by the Berliner collective She She Pop, in contrast with the original Shakespeare’s King Lear to whom it is freely inspired, this contribution aims to re-visioning the father-daughter relationship, traditionally based on macho prerogatives and stereotypes, or rather based on the exertion of a patriarchal power founded on control and possession of bodies and material properties. She She Pop promotes a matriarchal perspective that frees parental relationships from patrimonial laws and reconstructs them on care and love, emancipated from inheritance and from the dowry of the fathers.

A partire dallo spettacolo "Testament" (2010) del collettivo berlinese She She Pop, messo a fronte con l’opera originale Re Lear di Shakespeare, da cui è liberamente ispirato, il presente contributo si propone di ripensare il rapporto padre-figlia, tradizionalmente basato su aspettative e stereotipi maschilisti, ovvero fondato sull’esercizio di un potere e di un diritto patriarcali caratterizzato dal possesso fisico e dalla proprietà materiale. She She Pop promuove una contro-prospettiva matriarcale che libera i rapporti dal diritto patrimoniale e li restituisce a una cura e a un amore affrancati dall’eredità e dalla dote fornita dal genitore.
