The paper re-examines a fragment of Euripides’ Temenidae (740 Kn.), transmitted by Aelian and centred on the mythical episode of the Heracles’ capture of the Ceryneian hind. Particular attention is devoted to the final and most problematic verses of the fragment, for which a new proposal of textual restitution and metrical interpretation is advanced.
