The criminological literature, has always highlighted the importance, for treatment purposes, of the inmate’s contact with the extracurricular reality, and this is primarily to mitigate the negative effects of incarceration: the infantilization of the inmate, which takes the form of the inability, once the sentence is over, to face the outside, and the prison subculture, which inserts the subject into an artificial collectivity. The reducational treatment provided by the prison system, can become a real resilience strategy, if it is not implemented by relying only on the resources and artificiality of the detention context, never making the confined subjects lack the stimuli derived from the social environment and normal relational life.

Abstract
The criminological literature, has always highlighted the importance, for treatment purposes, of the inmate’s contact with the extracurricular reality, and this is primarily to mitigate the negative effects of incarceration: the infantilization of the inmate, which takes the form of the inability, once the sentence is over, to face the outside, and the prison subculture, which inserts the subject into an artificial collectivity. The reducational treatment provided by the prison system, can become a real resilience strategy, if it is not implemented by relying only on the resources and artificiality of the detention context, never making the confined subjects lack the stimuli derived from the social environment and normal relational life.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
