"Ab joy. Pasolini and the Romance Heritage". The article explores Pier Paolo Pasoli¬ni’s keen interest in Romance poetry (Provençal in particular), Pascoli’s works, modern Eu¬ropean poetry and 20th-century Spanish lyricism. It analyses the repercussions on his critical reflection and on Pasolini’s early poetic production in Friulian, and proceeds to revisit these same influences in the writer’s more mature activity, where more sombre and obscure nuanc¬es emerge through a close comparison between the work of the early and the late Pasolini, with an identification of the major differences and developments.
L’articolo prende in considerazione il grande interesse di Pier Paolo Pasolini per la poesia romanza (provenzale in particolare), l’opera di Pascoli, la poesia europea moderna e la lirica spagnola novecentesca. Ne analizza le ripercussioni nella riflessione critica e nella prima produzione poetica di Pasolini in friulano e procede alla rivisitazione di queste stesse influenze nell’attività più matura dello scrittore, dove emergono sfumature più tetre e oscure rilevabili attraverso un confronto serrato fra l’opera del primo e dell’ultimo Pasolini, con l’individuazione delle maggiori differenze e sviluppi.
