Abstract
1964 was a very special year for the city of Bari, which was already chasing the voiled recognition of the title ‘Milano del Sud’, with both the novelties introduced, between public and private spaces, by designers trained in the United States such as Vittorio Chiaia and Massimo Napolitano, and by the institutional support of a politician like Aldo Moro, at the beginning of his mandate as Prime Minister, which began with his first government in December 1963. In April ‘64, in fact, in Bari they went to celebrate a significant anniversary such as that of the twentieth anniversary of the congress of the National Liberation Committees, opened in 1944 at the Piccinni theater with a prolusion by Benedetto Croce. In addition, in November, in the young University established only sixty years earlier and then immediately named after Benito Mussolini, the cycle of conferences curated by Adriano Prandi went down to full capacity, descend- ing from the national celebrations focused on a time- less myth like Buonarroti: it is in this speci"c circum- stance that Prandi invited Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti to talk about his criticfilm entitled Michelangiolo, just screened at the Venice Film Festival.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
