This book intends to seal some salient lines of research and represent some perceived forms of communication generated within the project ‘Horizon Europe Seeds Olive and oil in the Mediterranean basin from Prehistory to the Middle Ages: Cultivation, production, functional aspects', financed by the competitive call ‘NextGenerationEU - MUR-Fondo Promozione e Sviluppo DM 737/2021’, directed by my colleague Annarosa Mangone and coordinated for the historical-archaeological part by the Author, who conceived it ab imis in continuity with similar proposals recently managed and addressed to the Euro-Mediterranean area: the ‘EΛAIA OLEA OLIVA - Coltura dell'olivo e cultura dell'olio d'oliva in Terra di Bari’ project and the ‘PRIN 2015-Luce crea Luce’ pathway. Such a collection of contaminated and valorised experiences, merged and exalted in the formidable cognitive prism offered by the very special olive-growing and olive oil context of Apulia, has thus shown the potential of the data that can be deduced from the analysis of the theme of olive cultivation and olive oil culture, from the viewpoint of reconstructing agrarian landscapes and from the perspective of valorising the rural cultural heritage and examining the productive and socio-functional aspects, between Ancient and Contemporary. It was thus decided to take up, redefine and bring together the most significant insights elaborated over these years of study and communication, thus accompanying and collimating the main theme of historical-archaeological investigation with the parallel and convergent perspective of popularisation, to which the conspicuous nucleus of the panels of the ‘Ole@Exhibition’ educational exhibition refer, presented here for the first time in their entirety.

Abstract
It was thus decided to take up, redefine and bring together the most significant insights elaborated over these years of study and communication, thus accompanying and collimating the main theme of historical-archaeological investigation with the parallel and convergent perspective of popularisation, to which the conspicuous nucleus of the panels of the ‘Ole@Exhibition’ educational exhibition refer, presented here for the first time in their entirety.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
