The Parangon de Nouvelles (1531), a collection of stories from different sources (Boccace, Pogge, Valla but also the popular German anthology Til Eulenspiegel) allows to consider the analysis of the «franc parler» as a social phenomenon. The parresia can be considered as a narrative strategy but also as an element identifying characters or groups of characters; it can also be considered as a true actant in the narration.

Abstract
